When Stress Or Anxiety Ambush Us ๐Ÿ˜–

Team Talk On Tuesday

by QS Guide Dara

To achieve sobriety from a substance or behaviour, we must learn to react differently to our triggers instead of automatically
smoking, drinking, eating, or shouting.
So what do we do when stress or anxiety ambush us?
Guide your body out of fight or flight mode and back to calm by doing the Serene Mind Practice:

Become still. Close your eyes.
Inhale slowly and deeply for 3 counts. Exhale for six counts.
Repeat twice more.
What is the exact emotion you feel now? Just name it.
Is your mind in the past, the future or the present?
Concentrate on the space between your eyebrows.
Picture a tiny flame there, moving back into the centre of your brain.
Feel it there for 10 seconds.
Inhale and exhale deeply.
Slowly open your eyes.

In this section you will read something that has been said by one of the Quantum Sobriety Online Programme members over on the very lively private forum:

Afternoon all. Thanks you ***ย for your daily posts. They are really helpful. I’m in work today, the 4th Sunday in a row into sobriety and committing to keep it that way.
Happy beautiful day x
