What You’ve Got To Ask Yourself 💭

The following conversation took place this month over in the private QS community during a livestream and went something like this:

Member: “I’ve been craving red wine. Haven’t had any but feeling a bit bored.”

Jo: “This is a really great time to journal around what is the driver of this, because it’s never about the red wine or the substance, it’s about the EMOTION you are addicted to. Yes the substance gives you something that you are craving, but you’re not actually craving red wine, you are craving what red wine will give you; how it will make you feel. So is it to numb out, is it to shut the world out, is it to step out of the ring of life, what does red wine do?”

Member: “Have fun, go wild, and let go.”

Jo: “Ok this is great that you have pinpointed this. So now you have to think about how you can ‘have fun, go wild, and let go’ SOBER. This is the million dollar question for you to meditate and journal on.

Member: “Mmmm not sure yet”

And this is exactly it
These are the questions that we need to ask ourselves
To go inward
Understand what is DRIVING our addictions, desires, wants, and needs
And when we heal them
There will be no requirement to reach outside of yourself for soothing
For you will know exactly how to do that…
