What Are YOU Afraid Of? đŸ˜±

Every Wednesday I am sharing some WOW’s with you; my teachers; my influences and who I am inspired by.
I hope you enjoy!

Pema Chödrön

” Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth

If you’ve not read her books or listened to her teachings, I’d highly recommend you do. Pema Chödrön has the comprehension of being a Tibetan Buddhist nun since the 1970s alongside her ‘old’ life of American mum and wife. She brings wit and wisdom to her deep understanding of the teachings, and is not shy to the odd swear word here and there!

During some of my darkest drinking days, as I was desperately pushing out through the layers of conditioning, I listened to Pema Chödrön incessantly in the car as I drove from yoga job to yoga job. Her audio training, ‘Don’t Bite The Hook’ is specifically about the ‘urge’ to do something, that plagues us addicts so profusely.

Today I am pushing through another level, one of my need to please others all of the time; to the detriment of my own values sometimes. There is a fear of not being liked, not being accepted, not being heard, not being understood, and I am looking at that. I am sitting in the fire of the uncomfortableness of it, knowing that it is my teacher.

So what fear is in your life right now?
And what is it teaching YOU?
Can you see that it is a guidepost, directing you towards ‘the work’ that needs your attention right now?
You are not supposed to run away from the discomfort, rather sit with it so that you can then transcend it; this journey was never meant to be an easy one, but is by far the most rewarding. So have comfort in the fact that,

Member Quote Of The Day.

In this section you will read something that has been said by one of the Quantum Sobriety Online Programme members over on the very lively private forum:

I am feeling a fantastic, positive shift in the last couple of days. I feel lighter, I feel my energy returning. I’ve been told I look different. It feels like a new start.
So to anyone struggling now: hang in there. Do all you can to release and renew. Love yourself! Om shanti, y’all!
