The Ageing Paradox 👶🏻👵🏼

Daily Motivation 351

Whist hanging out with young people recently the irony of the whole situation became very apparent:

  • The young teenage boy desperate to drink (non alcoholic) beer
  • The young teenage girl desperate to wear make up and look ‘grown up’
  • The middle aged amongst us wanting to look younger by applying fancy creams etc..
When does it flip?
When do we go from wanting to look older, to younger?
AND WHY CAN’T WE ACCEPT EXACTLY WHERE WE ARE?

We are forever wishing that our lives are different
Looking to the ‘future’ for happiness, success and a flat stomach
What’s wrong with NOW?
Why can’t we find happiness in this moment?

So
Today
This is exactly what we are going to do
No tomorrow
No yesterday
Only TODAY
What is already here?
What have you already got to celebrate?
What is the rush to get somewhere else?
BE IN THE MOMENT
Watch your breath
Look up at the sky
Take a moment to notice how your body feels, what you can hear that’s close, in the distance and far far away

Let go of lack
And be HERE in the abundance of the moment
Because remember in the blink of an eye a month, year, decade will be gone and you will pine away for the moment that you have right now.

No more wishing your life away
For you have everything RIGHT NOW
So,
Drop down into your heart
Connect with your essence; that which holds the blueprint of it all
Smile
And BELIEVE in YOU now

Member Quote Of The Day:

In this section you will read something that has been said by one of the Quantum Sobriety Online Programme members over on the very lively private forum:

❝I am so grateful for finding Jo and QS. It’s nearly the end of my first year and I have struggled horribly at times feeling that nothing works for me. Even since I’ve been sober it seems to have been physically but not mentally – a constant struggle.

I have decided that I need to live alone as my home circumstances aren’t conducive to being calm and having lasting sobriety. But looking back over this past year I can see how things have changed and how I have changed – made me stronger and more able to live life on my terms.

I hope this doesn’t sound depressing – it’s all good stuff – just me metamorphosing into the butterfly I was meant to be – at last. xxx❞
