Sorry – Not – Sorry – About – That 😀

You’ve got to give yourself enough SPACE
Without it you are only going to be stressed out and overwhelmed, and this is exactly WHEN triggers strike. When I’m tired and/or my back is against the wall I don’t enjoy life, I’m not in tune with gratitude, and I can’t wait to curl up into bed at the end of the day and rest my weary head.

On the other hand when I give myself SPACE there is expansion, calm, reflection, and the day seems to go on and on effortlessly.

I ended up finishing last year wound up in a tight ball of stress and overwhelm, with literally not enough time to have a long hot bath. There was an endless list of things to do, emails to answer, and responsibilities that only I seemed to be able to respond to.

Never again

My word for this year is SPACE
And it forms the foundation of everything that I am going to do in 2018
If something is going to encroach on my SPACE then I am not going to do it

Sorry – Not – Sorry – About – That

But if I don’t look after myself then I can’t support others, and I am certainly not setting a good example. So this year there is already much in place to prevent the same overload as 2017, and I’d like to ask YOU to think about what SPACE you have in your life right now.

I’ll give you an example of what I’ve done over the first week of the QS tour; given myself P L E N T Y of time to get to each destination. This has meant down time at the airport or train station, but this time has seemed like such a gift to me; no rush; no stress; no drama, it’s been amazing.

Then there have been the public transport delays I’ve experienced this past week;
A three hour delay getting into Sheffield on Friday
A two hour delay getting home on Sunday
And do you know what?

These delays were like presents
Awarded to me
And I began to see it all so differently
Yet still aware of what a thin line it was to cross back into irritation
But

The three hour delay meant I got up to date with emails
The two hour delay meant I wrote a blog
Both of these delays GIFTING me SPACE to get stuff done

And it all boils down to perception
Most of us, and I had to catch myself from doing this initially, get way stressed over a late train. But what if it was MEANT TO BE THAT WAY? Why do we think that what we want is right? And we only get stressed because something isn’t going the way we THOUGHT it was supposed to. I can see that my delays were meant to be that way, and I observed all the others driving themselves
C R A Z Y with frustration.

And of course meditation lays the groundwork here
Making friends with SPACE daily in our practice
Welcoming the void
Emptiness
Peace

So what is in place to WELCOME SPACE INTO YOUR LIFE?
Is there any way you can shift your perception to one of allowing and accepting when the quantum GIFTS you SPACE?
Boredom is a state of mind
Some people experience, others don’t
Be one of the ones that doesn’t
See the gift in the expansion being offered
Recieve SPACE gratefully and with open arms
I am….

In this section you will read something that has been said by one of the Quantum Sobriety Online Programme members over on the very lively private forum:

Good morning, I want to share an important milestone with you all: last night I experienced my first social occasion sober and I had a great time!!!! I’m so proud and so happy about this. This is the FIRST time in my life that I haven’t drank when it’s possible to. I’m delighted. Thanks to you all as always and a special thanks to *** for guiding me through and checking up on me.
