Our Struggles Guide The Way 🤪

I sit in meditation with the intention to do a particular mantra for 11 minutes and immediately resistance comes up,

“This is stupid”
“I hate mantras”
“Why bother”
“How long have I been doing this for”
“I’m bored”
“Is the time up yet”

What I have learnt is that this resistance is a teacher
Guiding me to where the work needs to be done
For
Where do I want to rush off to, rather than sit on my cushion
What is more important than turning inward and understanding myself better,
Emails?
Admin?
Eating breakfast or having a cup of tea?
Am I really believing that?

No I’m not

This is the conversation that goes through my head
When resistance rears its head
Rather than run away from it, or increase it by getting stressed
I walk  T-O-W-A-R-D  it
Embrace it
For I know it is here for me to spend some time looking at
To learn something new
To learn something deeper
To understand myself on a new level

So where are you currently being pushed
What is your subconscious gently nudging you to
Can you sit with the uncomfortable feeling, and within your practice get to know it
View it from a different perspective
As if you are standing in front of yourself
Observing
Reflecting
Assimilating a new perception

This is what our practice is for
Not to ‘be good’ at meditation
But rather to gain a new insight into who we are
And what we are capable of…

Member Quote Of The Day.

Read here something that has been said by one of the Quantum Sobriety Online Programme members over in our lively private forum:

I had a drinking dream last night. The worst part was that my boyfriend gave me the drink, a smidge of vodka in a glass of soda. It was very distressing and good to wake up and know that it’s not possible in my chosen reality.”
