Gonna Be Sober This Christmas? ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽŠ

The countdown has begun toย the most collectively exhausting and testing time of the year. Even for those not working through an addiction it can be pretty stressful, with unreasonable expectations from families pulling us in all directions.

So what is the plan?ย

It is all in the preparation
You need to know exactly what you are going to say
What you are going to eat
What you are going to drink
There can be no room to change course once it has been decided, for just 1 degree off will take you to a completely different destination (I wrote a blog about this which I’ll share with you tomorrow).

Over in the online community we have a monthly theme to motivate and inspire, and the December theme is probably the most important of all as every single member is affected by Christmas, no matter where in the world they reside. The community will be guided one day at a time to get ready for the best, and maybe the first, sober Christmas ever and I’m excited to launch the new theme today! (you’ll have to join to find out what it is and join in).

Our meditation PRACTICE is called PRACTICE for a reason;
We have to PRACTICE it
So today for our Friday Focus we can PRACTICE being prepared, committed, and following through with our goals. How do you want to feel on Sunday night? What is yourย weekend pledge? Get used to making a vow and sticking to it, then Christmas won’t seem like such a big step up.

NOW is the time to begin to get ready
NOW is the time to believe that you deserve the best festive period of your life
To remember every single moment
To not put on a single extra pound
T o ย e n j o y ย i t ย a l l

So lets start today
Now
What commitment are you going to make for the weekend?
Let’s get started!

Member Quote Of The Day.

In this section you will read something that has been said by one of the Quantum Sobriety Online Programme members over in the very lively private forum:

โThis will be my 3rd Christmas sober and clean. Wow! I noticed that this was the first sober Thanksgiving that I genuinely looked forward to with my family. My brother did get annoyingly drunk but I felt so grateful to not be on the ride with him and therefore there wasn’t a single argument or unnecessary tear. I am looking forward to spending time with my alcohol free lover and best friend and my family. We don’t do the gifting thing and it’s going to be all about good clean food, connection, and my sister and I are planning some silly games.โžย
