Divine Graduation 🎓

There is a point we get to
A boundary we cross
And when we do we can never go back

It is a shift so monumental
That your life will never be the same again

I have experienced this graduation through the medium of meditation, which I think is the fastest way of navigating the path to self-realisation. Sure you can do it without but it will take you much much longer.

Meditation gives us the tool of reflection, time, and space to fully comprehend the journey. It teaches us to go within and look for the answers that are inherent and available already; no matter what is going on around us.

And this is key
For we cannot graduate without being able to do this one thing…

✨ REMAIN IN THE LIGHT,
EVEN WHEN SURROUNDED WITH DARKNESS ✨
Let me explain myself, and then show how meditation is such a perfect way for us to learn this;

Life is a mixture of experiences
We have joy, passion, ecstasy
Along with grief, sadness, fighting
And there is NO ONE who can stop this process, or decide to only have what we perceive to be the ‘good’ stuff

So how on earth does anyone become enlightened?
When we have to deal with war, famine and atrocities,
There is something that the masters all had to accomplish to ascend
And this is it
It is one of the most difficult aspects of this human life to understand

✨ REMAIN IN THE LIGHT,
EVEN WHEN SURROUNDED WITH DARKNESS ✨
Addicts of course are thrown into this concept
For freedom ONLY comes when you have sat in the fire of desire
Transcended the urges
Purged the craving to self-soothe into the deceit of addiction
It is one of life’s biggest lessons
And when the addict moves beyond the urge and pops out the other side, they realise that whatever adversity they are experiencing right now, drinking/drugging/binge eating is NOT going to improve the situation; rather it is going to exacerbate it.

The example I always use for this is His Holiness the Dalai Lama
He was forced to flee his country in 1959, and has not been able to return in nearly 60 years
His people are still being tortured, murdered, and arrested for merely carrying a photograph of him. The Chinese government call him evil and forbid any praise for the Tibetan leader within his own country. However the images of him that we see are joyous, loving and compassionate. Here is someone who will never see his home country again (in this lifetime) yet only has good to say about everyone. He knows how to,

✨ REMAIN IN THE LIGHT,

EVEN WHEN SURROUNDED WITH DARKNESS ✨

So can we?
Can we drop down into the infinite pool of joy that is in our heart
And live from there today

Can we move from victim mentality
To abundance

Can we notice THAT WHICH IS ALWAYS PRESENT within us
The Peace that is waiting for us to claim it
No matter what is going on around us

Can we take this inner cue
Rather than that of our external world
For if we can
We have the potential to

✨ REMAIN IN THE LIGHT,
EVEN WHEN SURROUNDED WITH DARKNESS ✨

Member Quote Of The Day.

Read here something that has been said by one of the Quantum Sobriety Online Programme members over in our lively private forum:

Listen, the last few months have been HARD at times. There are days I feel angry and shit. But I honestly KNOW that drinking (or whatever else) won’t solve it. It crosses my mind occasionally – but it floats away again almost as quickly. I don’t invite those thoughts in for a cup of tea!

PS I have lost almost a stone since I stopped drinking – 8 months ago now. It is ALL down to QS, to Jo and this group and I will be forever grateful to you all. Sending you all so much love and strength and for those who are struggling, just keep getting on your cushion and let it do its thing. PS Jo the book is BRILLIANT and to blame for me staying up till midnight reading last night
