It felt for a long time that I was hanging off the gates to heaven, demanding to get in with no one there willing to grant my entry
Where was everyone?
The struggle
The effort
The triggers
Banging on the door
Urgently grasping at the future I knew I wanted
But something back then hadn’t quite clicked
The very fact there was struggle, effort and triggers demonstrated that
But I wanted it NOW!
I was ready!
Why do I have to wait?
More shaking of the gates
We live in a fast society
Everything is EASY
We can eat on the go
Date on the go
Convenience is our middle name
Well everyone else is drinking / eating shyte / binging; why can’t I?
So when we are asked to SIT AND DO NOTHING we freak out
I can’t do that!
My mind is too busy
And we discount the idea as something that is not for us. But what we don’t realise is that we have just thrown away the key to heavens gates, and I am not talking here about heaven that is ‘up there’; I’m referring to the heaven that lies waiting for us WITHIN. You do not have to go anywhere other than your own heart to find it.
And it will take patience
Hours of what seems like wasting time perhaps
As you sit on your cushion
But you are planting the seeds of heaven
Creating the embryo of inner peace, and of course as it develops you witness the changes and evolution of your heart. And then, the gates open all by themselves; you did that, and look how easy it was after all….
